The Mahabharata is the longest epic poem in the world and many a times described as “longest poem ever written”. Its longest version consists of over 100,000 Shloka or over 200,000 individual verse lines (each shloka is a couplet), and long prose passages. The Mahabharata is roughly ten times the length of the lliad and the Odyssey combined, or about four times the length of the Ramayana. Gita, which serves as a spiritual guide to all is a sub part of this great epic. Mahabharata teaches us a valuable lesson that none benefits the war (Alas! this teaching had to be proved by World war 1 and WW2) & also that evil in any forms must not be tolerated event though it is your own cousins.
As Vyasa said about Mahabharata that: what is here is out there; what is not here is no where. What he meant is that Mahabharata touches almost all the aspect and conundrums of human life. We can relate to some or the other character of it. We all think that we are victims of society and things that are beyond our control.
