As the winter transfer window comes to a close, a lot of clubs have made historic signings that are going to make huge differences in their fortunes for the remainder of the 2024/2025 season. Some of the most important deals made on the final day of the January Transfer Window include:
1. Noah Okafor (Milan → Napoli, Loan + €23M Option)
Napoli secured Okafor after failing to land Saint-Maximin. Despite just one Serie A goal this season, the Swiss forward could be crucial for Gli Azzurri’s attack.
2. Marco Asensio (PSG → Aston Villa, Loan)
A three-time UCL winner, Asensio arrives in the Premier League to bolster Unai Emery’s side after struggling for impact at PSG.
3. Mathys Tel (Bayern → Tottenham, Loan)
Tel has been long associated with a move to the Premier League, and Spurs finally got him. He has seen very little playing time for Bayern, but last season he was truly exceptional (10 goals, 6 assists). He provides much-needed depth to Ange Postecoglou’s attack.
4. Nico González (Porto → Man City, €60M)
A La Masia product, González fills City’s midfield gap, especially after Rodri’s injury. His arrival strengthens Guardiola’s title push.
5. Santiago Giménez (Feyenoord → Milan, €32M)
While Morata left the club in this Window on loan deal. Giménez will join Milan this summer. In sensational form for Eredivisie with 16 goals in 19 appearances, the Mexican top class striker is deadly in finishing and movement in the box, just what Milan have been looking for as a perfect long-term No. 9.
